🌱 The Friendship Series

A living art installation depicting Blackness, Flora, and the Reincarnation of our Homelands through Urban Farming

The Friendship Series is an ongoing offering of love, land, and memory. Each 4C Tree is part of a collective art installation that bridges care work, ecology, and Black cultural legacy.

Its purpose is threefold:

  1. To practice radical wealth redistribution - by creating high-value living sculptures in creating high-value art installations and permanently gifting them to historic cultural hubs and community members.

  2. To combat environmental racism and housing discrimination - by offering free plants to BIPOC artists, professionals, creatives, and residents of low-income apartment buildings — improving air quality, mental health, and connection to land. (Sites include 1234 Pacific Street, 1914 Palmetto St, and a growing list of recipients.)

  3. To explore the power of close-looking - through storytelling, memory, and place-making—viewed through a Black Queer Womanist Anti-Capitalist lens.
